Beginner's Calendar 2.0

Image
Hey, everyone! It's been a while since I posted, mainly because my summer was INSANE. It felt like I was gone almost every single weekend, and I don't think there was ever a point where my suitcase was packed away or even empty. Not complaining though, because I gained a lot of experience and learned a lot from my many travels. Plus they were fun. Can't forget that. 😉 Anyway, let's return to my workouts from this year. After finishing Yoga Camp, I was ready to take it up a notch, so I decided to try the Blogilates Beginner's 2.0 Calendar, which turned out to be quite an adventure.

Bungy Jumping in New Zealand

Hey, everyone! Lately, I haven't had the chance to work on any bucket list items or finish any new workout plans as I have been busy traveling. So today, I thought I'd share my experience completing a bucket list item from a few years ago: bungy jumping.

Hey, everyone! Doing a Spartan Sprint had been on my bucket list for about a year when I completed the Greek Peak Winter Sprint in March of 2017, and it was everything I had hoped it would be. Still, doing it served as the final day of the Couch to Sprint Training Plan which had served as my exercise regimen for the previous 31 days. I needed a new plan for exercise, but I was so exhausted from training and from the Sprint that I decided to turn back to an old favorite--yoga.

Hey, everyone! As the culmination of the Couch to Sprint Training Plan which I did in February and early March of 2017, I decided to complete a Spartan Sprint. Doing a Spartan Sprint was on my bucket list, and as I detailed in my post about the Couch to Sprint Training Plan, there happened to be a Sprint coming up at a location only 45 minutes away from me so I couldn't pass up the opportunity. If you want to learn more about how I found out about the race and the signing-up process, please refer to my Couch to Sprint Training Plan post, linked above.

Hey, everyone! After I finished REVOLUTION--31 Days of Yoga on January 31, 2017, I needed to find another workout regimen to fill up the next month or two. Though I loved Revolution and had a new-found appreciation for yoga, I wanted something more intense to build strength and endurance. That's when I got an e-mail in my inbox providing information about a Spartan Race taking place at Greek Peak, a ski resort only 45 minutes from my home.

REVOLUTION--31 Days of Yoga

Hey, everyone! So at the beginning of 2017, I made it my goal to exercise more regularly and to check off some of the easier items on my bucket list. As I was considering what exercise regimen to begin in January, Adriene Mishler, the host of Yoga With Adriene on YouTube, released a video detailing her upcoming yoga challenge, "Revolution." The idea was that participants would do yoga every day throughout the month of January, thus completing 31 days of yoga over the course of the month. Since I had been wanting to try out a more regular yoga practice for a while, I figured it was the perfect way to start my year.
